These couplers, also known as taps, play a crucial role in maintaining signal strength in a cell phone signal booster deployment with a series of indoor antennas covering a considerable distance. The purpose of these components is to unevenly distribute the incoming and outgoing signals, minimizing signal loss from one port. This ensures that the subsequent broadcast antenna in the setup receives a satisfactory signal despite the inherent signal loss from cables and multiple antennas.
