No. For ease of use, you have to pair this radio with WLN radios from CWS. We carry a very large stock of these radios in our inventory. There is no risk of unavailability when you need it.
The short answer is, No. GMRS radios are made for easy operations, and we ensure that radios purchased from us are made to easily connect with each other. Just ensure your network of radios are on the same channel.
Maximum range may vary, and is based on line-of-sight operations without obstructions, and under ideal conditions.
Have you tried changing the channel? Simply change the channel to a different one that is free, and subsequently advice all the users on your network to do the same.
